It is always an honor to be included in one of the most important days in the lives of so many people!!  I go to a lot of weddings but the significance, and meaning of each individual experience is never lost on me.  It is my goal to make your wedding everything that you have ever dreamt!  

Whether you are a bride, a groom, or a family friend looking to give the gift of music it is my goal to give you the most spectacular experience throughout the wedding planning process!  Through specially designed questionnaires and one on one communication I will help you design the perfect musical esthetic for your ceremony.  I have always felt that the weddings that are the most memorable are the ones that truly represent the couple in every way, from the decorations, to the vows, and most importantly (in my opinion!) the music.  Give me the opportunity to get to know you and we will design a musical theme that will excite, enthrall, and envelope your guests.

People ask me all the time, what kind of music can be played on the harp?  The answer is ANY!  I have vast experience in a great many styles of music and am always happy to learn a new style that I might not be familiar with!!  I have played everything from the most traditional wedding march to Bollywood music, Beyonce, Drake, Sting, and the Beetles for couples as they walk down the aisle!! 

Wedding ceremony packages begin at $500 and are fully customizable!  Each package always includes a free consultation, an open emailing policy, and all ceremony music.

Private Parties

Having a birthday party, family gathering, holiday event, or celebration?  Adding harp can add an element of elegance and fun that you might not expect!  Your guests will appreciate the novelty of the instrument itself, and after a few short emails about your musical preferences I will be able to design a full evening of music suited to your specific event!

I believe there is an art to great background music playing.  Music can make or break the evening and as a background musician I constantly strive to engage, surprise, and enthrall the guests at the parties I serve.  My repertoire is vast and I am as comfortable performing music by Bach as I am by Led Zeppelin and Queen. 

Harp is a perfectly suited instrument to background playing as it is comfortably played in a very soft dynamic range,  perfect for intimate dinner parties, and with the help of my trusty battery powered amp, powerful enough to carry over larger events.

Corporate Events

Corporate events offer a unique opportunity for mutual benefit between myself and the hiring party.  Wether you own a restaurant, hotel, real estate office, law firm, club, or any other type of business, I am happy to offer services for your needs you may not realize you have!  

For example:

Hotels - Having a live instrumentalist performing in your lobby or lounge adds a unique and memorable experience for your guests.  Because the harp is such a resonant instrument the sound will carry throughout your hotel lobby area, entertaining and enthralling your guests in a way that will make them tell their friends about their stay at your hotel.  Miami is a place that demands elegance, excellence, and that little something special!  Let me be your little something special!  I can often be found performing at the Biltmore Hotel for afternoon teas.

Orchestral Performances

I bring power and experience to my orchestral playing.  I pride myself in a big sound that will carry across an orchestra.  With over 15 years of orchestral performance experience I am comfortable and confident in any orchestral setting.  Flexibility is my goal in every situation and I constantly strive for further musical communication with both my instrumental and conduction colleagues.

I began performing with orchestras at the age of 13, and since then orchestral performance has been an essential and vibrant part of my life.  Growing up in Williamsburg Virginia I performed with ensembles such as the William and Mary College Orchestra, Christopher Newport University Orchestra, Bay Youth Orchestra, York River Symphony Orchestra and others.

While attending Florida State University as well as playing with 7 school ensembles I served as principal harpist for the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra, and as a guest artist with the Albany Symphony Orchestra.  My time at Eastman was some of the most orchestrally intense and exciting years of my life!  I had the opportunity to perform some of the most challenging repertoire with the schools multiple ensembles while also performing as principal harpist with the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes, and as a visiting artist with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra.

Since moving to Miami I have performed with ensembles throughout Florida, but perform most regularly as the Guest Principal harpist of the Miami Symphony Orchestra, and as a guest artist with the Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra.  Other ensembles I have performed with include the Florida Grand Opera Orchestra, Brevard Symphony Orchestra, South Florida Symphony Orchestra, Ocala Symphony Orchestra, and Charlotte Symphony Orchestra.

Concerto Performances

Funerals

Including harp in the funeral of your loved one can add a truly special touch to a day that is so solemn.  By choosing to hire a professional musician to perform at a funeral you are giving your guests and loved ones something truly special.  Whether you are hoping to offer your guests a meditative setting or a more upbeat and personal experience I am happy to cater my performance to your specific needs.

Funerals often come up last minute.  Because I have made the choice to make harp my full-time profession I am often able to make late bookings and encourage you to contact me at any point about scheduling.  I am happy to work in religious establishments of any denomination or belief system.

Solo and Chamber recitals

I have performed solo and chamber recitals throughout the continental United States, and pride myself in creating interesting and engaging programs that communicate and entertain audiences. 

Solo:

The world of solo harp repertoire is a vast sea of beauty.  Even if you know nothing about the harp I can design a program around the specific wants and needs of your festival, institution, or concert series.  I am widely experienced in performing music of all styles and always aim to educate audiences in a way that allows the music performed to be enjoyed in unexpected ways.  Audiences will enjoy an insiders view of the harp world as I explain the significance of specific works, their context in the larger world of music, and my interpretation of the music.

Solo recital fees begin at $600.

Chamber:

To create music with another person is to truly know them.  I have had the great honor of knowing some truly spectacular musicians over the years, and through them I have gained a uniquely engaged perspective on chamber music.

My primary chamber ensemble, Kontra Duo, with my partner Dannel Espinoza is the project that I am most proud of.  We know each other so well at this point that the music that flows through our ensemble feels effortless and light while still maintaining a forward energy and driving power.  Harp and saxophone may seem like an unusual ensemble, and it is.  But, I truly hit the jackpot when it comes to saxophonists.  Dannel is a uniquely skilled musician, whose brain works far beyond the simple notes on a page to create an entire tonal concept to the music he performs.  We have been capturing the imaginations of audiences for over 6 years and are constantly working to build new and exciting programs to present to our ever growing fan base.

Worship Services

Whether your congregation is big or small, traditional or modern, harp can be an uplifting addition to your service!  I am comfortable sight reading out of a hymnal, accompanying church choirs, and working with other musicians of all kinds and can bring a unique and significant new element to your service.  I have been performing for religious services since the age of 10, and have experience working in most worship environments.   

Church service fees begin at $150/service.

Private Relaxation

Imagine coming home from a long day at the office to an evening of private harp music.  Harp music is proven to lower blood pressure and provide supreme relaxation for listeners.  Whether you are having a romantic dinner, intimate gathering, or have simply had a stressful week and need some mental space I can create a musical environment that is uniquely suited to your needs.
